A short ride to tapola - Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra

After lot of suggestion and planning between Raigad fort, Lohagad fort, Matheran and Tapola finally Tapola attracted more and we had plan for a bike ride to the famous and beautiful place which is also called as “Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra”.

As winter is ongoing we had a plan to revisit Mahabaleshwar as it is the unique hill station of Maharashtra.

After amazing bird watching at Bhigwan we had a wonderful ride with full of enjoyment, scenic views and boating at Tapola.

Tapola is the small city which is around 25Km from Mahabaleshwar city and it is located on the bank of Shivajisagar Lake which is wide spread about 90Km. It is also the base village to the Vasota fort which is famous for jungle trek. The 25 km patch between Mahabaleshwar and Tapola is too scenic and picturesque for the biker in the months of winter.

Me and my friend starting from Pune at around 8.30 am we reached Panchagani at around 11 am and superb breakfast at Mapro Garden which is the unique place before entering the Mahabaleshwar hill station, and after taking pictures at Mapro Garden we left for our destination and enjoy the fabulous ride between Mahabaleshwar and Tapola.

Many tourists from Goa and Mumbai are attracted to this place when they travel to Mahabaleshwar Hill station.

Many points of Tapola are Island point, Triveni sangam,Vasota Fort and Koyana Abhayaranya.

Best time to visit the place is just after the Rainy season in the month of November to January.
